Gather for a showing of the documentary "1946: The Mistranslation that Shifted Culture" (2022). The film examines the process that added the word "homosexual" to the Revised Standard Version of the Bible. This decision influenced Christian culture and did an innumerable amount of damage to the Kingdom of God. Join the Affirming Congregations of the Quad Cities at MCC Church of the Quad Cities. Bring snacks to share. After the screening, there will be panel discussion and a chance to ask questions of the participants.
Free will donations will be accepted to cover the cost of the screening. Any extra money will be donated to local LGBTQ+ services.
