The Ouray Mountain Air Music Series is proud to present it's 12th annual concert series! These FREE events are held on Thursdays in June in our beautiful Fellin Park and are well-received by the entire Ouray community. Each Thursday, families of all ages gear up for sun-filled afternoons, warm evenings, and picnics at Ouray’s favorite outdoor event! We will be featuring 3 different bands this year starting at 6 pm! For our 2nd concert we have a double headliner evening with Sam Burchfield & The Scoundrels and his wife Pip the Pansy! Sam Burchfield & The Scoundrels opened our series in 2023 and was our most requested band to have back. We are very excited for this rare husband/wife collaboration that will have you dancing and singing all night long!

Sam Burchfield’s latest record ‘Scoundrel’ begins a new saga. The record dives into 11 tales of greed, betrayal, desire, heartache, despair- and redemption. “We recorded these songs on my friend’s farm in South Georgia, tracking live in the same room. It felt right,” Sam recalls of the pre-pandemic recording sessions. “It’s nice to finally have this record out. It’s sort of a marker of a new chapter for me. A new sound, a new direction, and a return to my roots really.” Ironically, the album artwork is an early 1900s photo of ‘Sam Burchfield, a veteran moonshiner of the Appalachians.’ A very distant Great-uncle, Burchfield claims.
Sam grew up in Seneca, South Carolina, with roots in eastern Tennessee and western Carolina. Burchfield was raised on the mountains, and it’s an evident theme throughout his two EPs and two full length records. Reconnecting to the earth, and reconnecting to each other is the underlying passion that pushes the young songwriter to carry on. Sam is now settled in Jasper, GA with his lovely wife (artist Pip the Pansy) and newborn son.
PIp the Pansy and her sensational dancing Blobs are sure to leave you mystified! Just try keeping your socks on as Pip and her magic flute take you for a ride on the winds of whimsy!
We are very proud to support and introduce the Ouray Mountain Rescue Band as they celebrate their 50th anniversary by opening the evening with their 8 piece band made up of some local rockstars!
Food, beer, wine, spirits and our famous margarita's will be available for purchase.
This is a free, outdoor, and family friendly event, so no outside alcohol, no marijuana in the park and dogs must be leashed and waste cleaned up.
