Our Voices, Our Future: Intergenerational Advocacy Day

Join us for our first-ever Voices Wide Intergenerational Advocacy Day on January 27th! This day of action will unite advocates of all ages to champion critical issues impacting Virginia’s children and families, including early care and education, mental health, health equity, child welfare, and economic security.

• 7:30 AM - Start the day with a complimentary breakfast.
• Morning Program - Be inspired by speakers as we kick off our advocacy efforts.
• Legislative Visits - Meet with lawmakers in the General Assembly Building to advocate for key bills and budget priorities.
• Rally at the Bell Tower - Raise your voice and join us for a powerful rally to amplify our message.
• Catered Lunch at Red Bird Social - Wrap up with a community lunch to connect with fellow advocates.

This is more than just a day of advocacy; it's an experience aimed at collective healing among young people, families, and community partners before, during, and beyond Advocacy Day. Together, we'll champion legislation and budget items that improve outcomes for youth and families through collaborative engagement.

Groups will be led by Voices' team members and our passionate Advocacy Ambassadors from partner organizations. Space is limited to just 100 registrants, so register early to secure your spot. Attendee's will also be invited to attend a prep session for this day as well.

There are several parking options in the vicinity to choose from:

*ParkMobile - for all metered and lot parking we suggest downloading the ParkMobile app ahead of time for convenience.

* There is metered parking available surround the building on 6th Street, Franklin, 5th Street, Grace, etc.

* There is a parking lot across from the Dominion Center on 7th and Grace, that's across the street from Red Bird.

* There are several parking garages but the closest two are on 6th and Franklin, and one connected to the Moxy Richmond Downtown at 5th and Franklin
