Our Story. Our Voice. A Korean American Townhall

The Bay Area K-Coalition presents "Our Story, Our Voice," a public event encouraging civic engagement within the Korean American community ahead of the upcoming U.S. presidential election. The event will feature two parts: a panel discussion with Korean American influencers and storytellers who will share their experiences and journeys in using their platforms to tell their stories and emphasize the importance of our voices. The second part of the event will be a screening of "Songs of Love from Hawai'i," an acclaimed documentary directed by Korean American filmmaker Jinyoung Lee, which explores intergenerational storytelling and highlights the visibility of Korean American and Asian American immigrant communities.

베이지역 한인단체 연합이 주최하는 "우리의 이야기, 우리의 목소리" 행사는 다가오는 미국 대통령 선거를 앞두고 한인 커뮤니티의 시민 참여를 장려하기 위해 기획된 무료 행사이며 패널 토론과 영화상영 순으로 진행됩니다.

패널 토론: 각 분야에서 활발하게 활동하고 있는 한인 패널들의 토론을 통해 그들의 경험과 스토리를 공유

영화상영: 이진영 감독의 "하와이 연가"는 음악이라는 감성의 언어를 활용해 한인 디아스포라의 발자취를 기록한 다큐멘터리이며 나우 프로덕션이 제작, 제43회 하와이 국제영화제에 상영 됨
