Join us for the opening Reception of Our Shared Vision, with Artists, Lucy Tellez, and her Son Scott Ruiz. About the Exhibit:
We had our first show over 20 years ago, and we are both excited to have this opportunity for another "Mother/Son Show.
Lucy (Eva-Luz) started drawing and painting as a little girl. Her favorite model was her father. He'd sit still for hours while she drew him watching TV, drinking coffee, and smoking cigarettes. Years after his passing she found many of her drawings that he secretly saved
As a young lady Lucy continued to draw and paint with her toddler, Scotty under foot. Scott was always getting into her paints and brushes. She realized that "this kid" needs his own art supplies. He immediately, showed his own creative nature and continues to paint with his heart and soul.
They are both in awe of each others work, and Lucy shares that her son is her most important and valued critic.
