We are pleased to welcome you to our new support groups for disabled parents raising disabled children at Our Community Base
About this Event

We have heard from parents who have additional needs, neurodivergence and/or disabilities themselves, that you can face additional challenges raising your children with their own additional needs, neurodivergence and/or disabilities. So we have created this group on the first Thursday of each month to enable you to meet other parents in similar situations and support each other.

The group is held at Our Community base at the Kingswood Centre on New Cheltenham Road. Our base is wheelchair accessible throughout and has a changing room toilet. We will not have any other sessions running at the same time to minimise sensory overload. There are two disabled parking spaces directly outside. There is also a garden area available for sensory breaks. If you have any other accessibility needs please contact us [email protected].

The session runs 12:15pm - 2pm. It is free, but we do appreciate a donation towards refreshments. No diagnosis is necessary to attend.

Children are welcome to join you and do not require a ticket.

Please do not attend your session if you are unwell or you have been advised to self isolate.
