Hello Long Beach LGBTQ+ Community

A few weeks after the Long Beach Pride weekend, Be Proud hosted an event to get feedback from our LGBTQIA2S+ community about what the community wants to see as a celebration of Pride in our city going forward.

Since that meeting, leaders and others in our community banded together to form a committee to help move these ideas and priorities forward. Thus, the Long Beach LGBTQ+ Community Collective was born.

So we want to continue the conversation with you, the community! This is not a panel. You will not sit and listen to people talk at you for an hour. You'll be at a table with neighbors, leaders, and friends, talking about how you’d like to celebrate Pride in Long Beach.

Come if:

• You've been to every Pride since 1984
• You've never been to a Pride event
• You run an LGBTQ+ organization, business, band, or book club
• You just want a say in what your community does for you

We want to hear from you! Come be part of the future of the Pride Season in Long Beach.

• When: Wednesday, August 19, 2026, 5:00 –6:45PM
• Where: Hamburger Mary's Long Beach · Free parking in back
• Cost: Free. Food and drink available for purchase.

Can't make it in person? We are also hosting a virtual session the next evening on Thursday August 20, 6:30-8PM. Please Register for only one of the events.

**Please note: there will also be an online survey for anyone who cannot attend either the virtual or in person event. If you cannot attend, register through this eventbrite and you will recieve a survey link with more information.
