About this Event
Join us on Saturday 13th July 2024, 2pm-4pm, for an auto-photography workshop. We invite you to join us in exploring what our community may look like both individually and collectively through the use of photography.
Photography has been used by many activists and artists as a political tool as well as a method for self-exploration. By taking control of the camera and process of image-making, there is the potential for us to make our own self-representation more visible.
You do not need to be an expert with a camera, no photography skills are needed, all you need is a camera with a phone!
This workshop is for global majority people only. This is a family friendly space.
The room we are in is accessible and the building itself has plenty of parking available. The accessible toilet is in the main building so from our room you'd go to the outside and travel around 10 metres to the main entrance and the accessible toilet is on the ground floor. There are also changing facilities in the main building.
Address: The Discovery Room at New Earswick Folk Hall, York, YO32 4AQ.
