Come join us on 5/5 to learn how Wichita is Kansas's first Bee City! The title of Bee City is awarded by The Xerces Society to cities showing a commitment to pollinators and green space in the city through their Bee City USA program.Speaker Bio: An award-winning Wichita-based science educator, Rachel co-founded the nonprofit Grassland Groupies to make a difference in the local community and spread awareness of the overlooked and underappreciated native grassland ecosystem.
Wichita Oasis is a secular humanist community that meets weekly on Sunday mornings to enjoy fascinating talks, live music, and conversation.
The program starts at 11:00 AM, and people are encouraged to come half an hour earlier for coffee, snacks, and conversation. Parents can drop off their young ones with our team in the kids room, where they will meet new friends and enjoy fun activities together.
