Join us at the Sanctuary Exploration Center for the free "Otterly Artistic!" art workshop themed around sea otter conservation, featuring local artist Tina Fuller Somers! On Saturday, April 27th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., you will learn fun facts about sea otters, explore block printing and collage techniques, and help create a community art piece that will display at the Center for the month of May. The workshop is open to all ages, but geared to kids aged 8-12, and a parent or guardian must be present for the event. Registration is required and space is limited. About the artist:
Tina Fuller Somers launched Hawk and Hammer Creative Studio to encompass her diverse skill set: a BA in painting, a Master’s Certification in science illustration, and a love of graphic design. She works on a wide variety of projects from field guides to woodblock prints and murals. She seeks to create original art that reflects respect and appreciation of the natural world, share it with others, and follow environmentally friendly business practices as a small business.
