Alexandra Finkeldey aka Scatterbee is a visual artist with a focus on editorial, commercial and children’s book illustrations. She enjoys illustrating the small, cozy details of daily life. She uses warm colour palettes and creates rich textures to capture her favourite subjects: animals, plants, people, and food. Her Ottawa-based clients include Moo Shu Ice Cream & Kitchen, Ottawa Art Gallery (OAG), Top Shelf Preserves, Venus Envy, Tooth & Nail Brewing, Edible Ottawa Magazine, and the Centretown Citizens Ottawa Corporation (CCOC). Her domestic and international clients include Shopify, The David Suzuki Foundation, Magnolia, Liquitex, Collective Arts Brewing, and various publishing houses such as Tundra Books (CA/US), Kids Can Press (CA), Chronicle Books (US), Candlewick Press (US), Quarto Group (UK), and Nosy Crow (UK). She has recently become represented by Folio Literary Management (NYC) and is working on several picture book projects. 

Paper designer and craft engineer, Florencia Alba hasn’t found a thing that can’t be expressed through paper. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant colors and textures inherent in Mexican culture, she finds joy in witnessing plain sheets of paper metamorphose into diverse shapes and figures that narrate unique stories.

Having worked three years in Mexico (her home country) and four years in Canada (her home now), she has accumulated over seven years of experience working with a diverse range of clients, such as Prada, Audi, Uber, Guerlain, The Westin Hotel, Ottawa Tourism and many others. Her area of expertise lies in creating customized installations for commercial spaces, exhibitions and events, as well as set design and prop making for product campaigns.

Isabelle "Izzy" Poirier is an Ottawa-based design entrepreneur with a successful freelance business and the founder of the Ottawa Design Club. With an aim to create community-focused brand experiences, Izzy's freelance work is distinguished by her innovative conceptual solutions and her commitment to excellence in design.

As one of the few globally recognized Level C Certified Brand Architects, industry peers highly value her expertise. Izzy also extends her influence through Adobe Live, where she engages with a global audience by hosting and sharing creative insight and creative projects.

Our events are organized by designers for designers and other creatives and are a great opportunity to meet others in the community and get inspired. We don’t measure success by the size of someone's career but rather by their unique style, ideas, and talent.
