About this Event

Our voice and our votes matter! Yet, for far too long African Americans and people of color have been denied and hindered when trying to exercise their right to vote. In 1946, Otis Moss, Sr., the grandfather of Dr. Otis Moss, III, experienced much hardship when attempting to cast his ballot in rural Georgia. The struggle with voter suppression for the Black community continues to impact us today. This dialogue aims to show the power and impacting of voting and is a call to action for everyone to get active. Join us for a conversation for breaking down the vote, empowering participation in local elections, voting’s effect on funding, and more. When “Walking in Legacy”, we must look at voting as a piece of preparing for future progress and development.

Masks required to attend.
