The members of Alash Ensemble are world-renowned masters of the ancient art of Khöömei or Tuvan Throat Singing.
This unique style of music where performers create unbelievable music with their voices, using the power of physics to create sounds no other vocalist in the world can attain! Combining the jaunty cowboy music of the Siberian steppes and the haunting echo of Tuva's stunning natural world with their vocal mastery, be prepared for an unforgettable, inimitable musical experience. Not only will Alash perform their incredible music, but audience members will have the chance to learn more about this fascinating tradition with Alash with Q and A facilitated by their producer Sean Quirk, a Fulbright scholar who thanks to 20 years of life in Tuva is the world's leading expert on Tuvan music.
