Calling all anime fans, manga lovers, gamers, and pop culture enthusiasts! Join us for OTAKU Minifest, a free, one-day event hosted by the Sunnyvale Sister City Association (SSCA), created for everyone who loves Japanese pop culture — especially young people looking to hang out, make friends, and have fun!

Spend the day exploring and enjoying:

🎮 Video & Board Games – Play Nintendo Switch games, traditional board games, and modern tabletop favorites with friends or meet new ones. You can even bring your own video game consoles and plug them into our display on-site!

🎨 Arts & Crafts – Create something adorable using cute Japanese and Asian stationery. Make it, decorate it, and take it home!

📚 The Manga Truck – The mobile manga library is rolling into OTAKU Minifest! Browse and read from a collection of over 350 manga titles right inside the truck.

🎤 Karaoke – Sing your favorite anime songs, J-pop hits, or discover something new — solo or with friends! (schedules coming soon)

👗 Cosplay Meet – We welcome cosplayers of all styles! The park features unique Japanese-inspired architecture, including a Torii gate, pond, bridge, and open lawn — perfect for photoshoots. Casual cosplay is welcome too!

About the organizer:

The Sunnyvale Sister City Association (SSCA), an all volunteer 501 (c) 3 organization, gives Sunnyvale's next generation the opportunity to connect on a personal level with like-minded community members around the world. Our organization champions building long-lasting, international relationships that encourage growth and development. As the first-ever sister city association in Sunnyvale, we aim to nurture a sense of adventure and understanding in our local community and a chance to collaborate globally.
