With a passion for sustainable horticulture, Marisa has dedicated her career to helping New Mexicans grow smarter and greener. From her early days working at Osuna Nursery to her current role with NMSU, she’s been a champion for plants and people. Her expertise includes:
● Research: A master’s degree in Horticulture and a PhD in Plant and Environmental Sciences, both focused on pecans.
â—Ź Community Leadership: Current president of Think Trees, a nonprofit hosting the annual urban tree care conference in Albuquerque.
