First Day Of Spring
Secret Shine:
Secret Shine emerged from the late eighties/early nineties shoegaze scene. Releases on the cult label Sarah followed, most notably the indie-chart top 20 single 'Loveblind' and album 'Untouched'. After a lay off in 1996, the band got back together again in 2004 before tragedy struck in 2005 with the untimely death of drummer Tim Morris. After recording a tribute record to Tim, the band have remained active releasing a number of EPs, the long player 'All of the Stars' (2008). 'The Beginning and the End' (2012). There is Only Now 2017) and a number of re-issues on the American label Saint Marie. The current line-up of Dean, Jamie, Scott and Kathryn have remained the constant formation for over 30 years. An album of new material has been recorded and is set for release in 2024. Secret Shine are featured on the Chery Red Records 'C91' 3CD Clamshell Box Set, 'Still in a Dream
(The Story of Shoegaze)' 1988-1995 box set collection, Skep Wax compilations 'Under the Bridge 1 & 2'.

Soundwire:
Soundwire are a psychedelic / alternative band based in South Wales / Bristol, UK. Formed by former Sweetest Ache vocalist Simon Court and guitarist Peter Moore, their unique and exploratory sound developed drawing inspiration from the fuzzy riffs of 60's US garage-punk, the motor-rhythms and guitar-synth fusion of 70's 'krautrock', and the reverb-drenched, hypnotic sonic stylings of the likes of My Bloody Valentine, Spacemen 3, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Death In Vegas, and many more.
Soundwire have just completed their second 10-track studio album, which has been mixed and produced by Thighpaulsandra and mastered by Ian Button (Death In Vegas). To date, 3 singles have been released from the album: 'Shake The Fever' - released digitally on Mine Mine Mine Records; ‘Satellite’, and ‘Degrees of Separation’ - both of which were released as 7” singles on Fuzzed-Up / Astromoon Record.
They have played extensively throughout the UK last year, including at the Bristol Harbour Festival, Swansea Fringe, and Under The Bridge all-dayer in Bristol, and have been regular performers at Cardiff Psych and Noise Festival and The Strange Daze Festival in Cardiff.

First Day Of Spring:
First Day Of Spring are blooming. The groups experimentation with sound, their love of art and their love of melody assemble to make what is First Day Of Springs cathartic originality. That and their boundless past influences, post-punk and otherwise.
Through applying these characteristics to their sound, their vision expresses the beauty and melancholy that our singular and collective condition can and cannot bring, whilst also attaching themselves to a strong belief in unapologetically authentic song writing. The result and motive of First Day Of Spring’s music is to take you out of your reality and into something more.
First Day Of Spring have caught the attention of the likes of MTV UK, Brooklyn Vegan, Under The Radar, Week In Pop, Wonderland, Clash Magazine, Earmilk, Far Out Magazine, Clunk Magazine, BBC Radio 6 and multiple appearances on BBC Introducing the band are developing their presence within their beloved London scene and scenery.
