he Oslo Short Film Festival returns for its annual date at the Sentralen Hvelvet on August 29&30. The 7th OSFF features four strands, screening 19 indie shorts by local and international filmmakers. Celebrating the art of short filmmaking, the annual Festival brings together shorts of various genres, styles and aesthetics. Films are from both established and upcoming filmmakers. We showcase new talents and share their powerful messages.
From Argentina, with Tomás Terzano's ‘The Banner ', and Canada with Giovanni Princigalli's ‘Porajmos. In Memory of the Roma and Sinti Holocaust.’ to France with the short film ‘Aïcha’by Coralie Lavergne and Lebanon with the short documentary ‘Gate 3 to 14’ by Karen Abou Jaoudeh. Each strand weaves a tapestry of stories that touch upon current issues, relationships and personal anxieties. This year's programme combines a variety of shorts that are bound to make you laugh, cry or simply lure you into the magic of independent short films.
For two days, the 2025 Oslo Short Film Festival will set its screen at our favourite hall in the Sentralen. We are looking forward to welcoming you again.
