OSHA 30 Hour for HR

Monday and Tuesday, May 8, 9, 15, and 16th.

Principal Consultant Brad Kramer is an OSHA Authorized Instructor and recent guest on the ProjectHR podcast, sharing about the intersection of HR & safety, and Senior Construction Safety Consultant, Amanda Lorentz, will be leading an OSHA 30-hour class that will help you know exactly what occupational health & safety means!

We have some phenomenal guest speakers lined up to make it engaging, focused on HR roles, and filled with industry experts!

• MNOSHA will be joining us for a session to discuss OSHA/MNOSHA, recent and upcoming changes, and industry trends.

• Annette Zeman of https://wcmcinc.com/ will be presenting to help participants fully understand work comp and case management.

• Phil Haataja of https://www.safehandsystems.com/ is presenting about electrical safety and what companies need to have in place.

• Tim Harves is a Provenio Consultant and 20+ year law enforcement officer and Advanced EMT who has worked on advanced life support ambulance crews. Tim will be presenting for drug & alcohol impairment, workplace violence & active shooter, and medical emergencies.

• Amanda Lorentz-McConn is a Provenio Consultant with 20+ years of commercial construction experience, starting as a laborer and progressing to becoming Safety Director. She will share her experiences in safety and as a woman in construction, and lead class for recordkeeping, safety culture, and construction safety.

• Ted Sommer owns Riskill and will provide a confined space training trailer that will allow participants to learn, hands-on, about confined space, fall protection, lockout/tagout, and hazmat. This will be a fun and engaging way for HR professionals to learn without pressure or fear that often comes with practicing these skills with workers who do these tasks on a daily basis.

• Pat Forster is a Provenio Consultant and 20+ year law enforcement officer (DOT inspector) and will lead commercial vehicle safety.

Class to be held at Cedarholm Golf Course, 2323 Hamline Ave. N. in Roseville, MN. Cost $1,200 per participant and includes an OSHA regulations manual. Participants will receive an OSHA Outreach 30-Hour General Industry card that does not expire. Construction classes can be scheduled if there is interest. Catered lunches will be provided.
