About this Event
This is an opportunity to spend a dedicated 45mins fine tuning your DYCP (Developing Your Creative Practice) funding application with invaluable feedback and advice from experienced arts mentors, Rebecca Russell and Carol Maund. Make sure your application stands out from the rest and support your art practice further!
In this 1-to-1 session, Rebecca or Carol will help to refine and improve your application ready for submission. This session is aimed at supporting artists who have started on their application and need some further guidance.

Rebecca Russell is a freelance artist development producer and curator based between London and Dorset. Her work at BEAF as well as an artist development producer involves supporting artists 1-2-1 on idea development, exhibition making, professional practice guidance, funding support and grant applications, whilst centring care and access. She is an artist mentor for Dorset Visual Arts and is a member of the British Art Network for curators.
Carol Maund is an experienced executive/artistic director and producer working in the arts and cultural sector. With a wealth of knowledge in arts strategy and business planning, research and production of funding bids, curation of festivals and international exhibitions, and lecturing at degree level, Carol is the person to speak to when it comes to all things arts and funding.

Open School Creative is a collaboration between BEAF Arts Co and TOSH (The Old School House) to support our community of artists and their artistic development at all stages of their career. OSC events and workshops are for artists interested in collaboration, skills development, community and networking.
Getting to us at TOSH
If you are coming by foot or by bus, take the M2 bus and get off near Boscanova if coming from Southbourne, or the stop after Aldi if coming from Poole and Bournemouth. If you are coming by car we would recommend parking in the sovereign centre car park.
Pokesdown for Boscombe train station is a 15-20 minute walk from B.A.D. along Christchurch Road.
