Staged to aid cricket coaching across the city and for participants to fundraise for their chosen good cause / club, this is a unique parent and child event.Hosted by current County Players and ex England internationals who will be playing in two of your matches.
The kids will be given coaching by the SHINE Coaches and County Players whilst the parents can enjoy a Q and A from the Test players from their era.
The County players will then set a series of Beat the Medallist challenges which fundraising gives the Kids a chance to beat them, and get the entry fee discounted down to zero..
The matches will be 8-a-side with each parent and child combination having two overs of batting. There will be also several kwik cricket matches going on on the other side of the boundary.
You will have a minimum of three matches during the day, and a possible fourth for the medals, and it is designed to be a safe day to enjoy with your cricket loving child.
Your squad will be joined in two matches by your allocated VIP Ringer, you can also list ten batters but only have eight fielders (we will explain later).
Each match will be 7 overs a side the event is rounded off with the medal ceremony performed by the cricketers and obviously a further chance to enhance your social media timeline.
The event will be subject to the Covid-19 restrictions of the day and maybe subject to alteration and a whole lot of hand sanitiser
