Immerse yourself in a world of heroic battles, body armour and life in English Norman Times, as the annual Ormskirk Medieval Festival goes back in time almost a thousand years to the 12th century.Experience an assault on the senses as living history re-enactors Historia Normannis take you on an adventure to West Lancashire 900 years ago at Coronation Park in Ormskirk.
The FREE two-day event returns on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 May, from 11am to 4pm.
The popular town centre green space will transform with a host of medieval-themed activities, including heroic battles, workshops, archery and cooking demonstrations of food prepared in traditional Norman ways.
Visitors can release their inner knight and try on armour, take a closer look at the weapons and how they’re made.
Visitors to the family-friendly event can also take part in arts and crafts, all with a Medieval twist.
Spectators can also tuck into a range of modern-day refreshments and activities, with donkey rides, face painting, children’s rides and a giant bouncy castle adding to the fun.
The Ormskirk Medieval Festival is organised by West Lancashire Borough Council Parks and Countryside Service.
