Make OMAM one of your stops during the First Saturday Ormond Art Walk to learn about world-renowned American artist Seward Johnson (1930-2020) and his pieces from the local "Art Imitates Life" installation. Visitors will have the opportunity to talk with museum docent Andrea Hoy about the artist and learn about his work, including the two pieces on site.
Starting at 3:00 from OMAM, local health coach Hailey Nolin will lead a fun, fitness-focused walking tour to each of the 13 Steward Johnson sculptures. The free walk, which includes both sides of the Granada Bridge, will be approximately 2-3 miles and take about an hour round-trip. Those interested in joining should meet near the museum's main entrance. Those who only want to do only some of the walk, can deviate at any point to stop into the Art Walk stops or can ride the complimentary Art Walk shuttle back to OMAM.
About the Talker: Andrea has been a museum volunteer for 10 years. In addition to serving as an OMAM docent, she is also secretary of the newly formed Volunteer Guild. She is a Vietnam-era veteran of the US Air Force who enjoys travel, art history, vintage fashion, and community activities.
About the Walker: Hailey is an Ormond Beach native who has a passion for helping others become the best version of themselves through their health and wellness. Her approach is twofold: she coaches people in nutrition consulting online and in person, along with running her fitness training app where you can choose from thousands of workout programs to find what works for you. One of Hailey's favorite activities to incorporate into her client's lives is walking: one of the most simple yet effective ways to get healthy movement in. Her credentials include being a Precision Nutrition L2 Master Health Coach, CrossFit L1 Coach, and ISSA Certified Personal Trainer in person & online, and has just sat for her National Board of Health and Wellness Exams.
