Visit OMAM during the First Saturday Ormond Art Walk to meet Krissy Kay and see her pop-up exhibit on display inside the reception gallery. At 5:00pm, the artist will give a gallery talk.
"My work begins with a conversation. I approach the canvas much the same way I approach another person—with curiosity and without preconceived ideas about what it should become. I listen, respond, and allow the materials to participate in the dialogue. Paint, thread, found objects, fire, and even destruction become part of the process. I tear, stitch, layer, and rebuild because I want the experience of making art to be as visceral and alive as the finished piece itself. For me, art is a language beyond words—a way of communicating with something both within and beyond ourselves.”
Admission to Art Walk is always FREE, and you can ride the complimentary shuttle to visit all stops. Beer and wine will be available for purchase inside the museum.
