London Prog Gigs are delighted to announce the renowned supergroup O.R.k will be performing in London with The Paradox Twin.O.R.k. are an international progressive, alternative, and art rock supergroup consisting of Australian bassist Colin Edwin (ex-Porcupine Tree), American drummer Pat Mastelotto (King Crimson), Italian vocalist/producer/award-winning film score composer Lorenzo Esposito Fornasari (a.k.a. LEF), and Italian guitarist Carmelo Pipitone (Marta sui Tubi).
The band was formed in 2014 and independently released their first album ‘Inflamed Rides’ in January 2015, followed by ‘Soul of an Octopus’ in 2017 and ‘Ramagehead’ in 2019 on the Kscope label. This album sees the addition of the vocals of System of a Down frontman Serj Tankian on the song Black Blooms.
In 2022 they released their fourth album ‘Screamnasium’, featuring Italian singer Elisa as a guest vocalist on the song ‘Consequence’. The band started touring Europe in support of the album in April 2023. The art for the last two albums was created by Tool’s guitarist Adam Jones.
The Paradox Twin was formed by singer, songwriter, guitarist & keyboard player Danny Sorrel, who - following the writing of the band’s debut album ‘The Importance of Mr. Bedlam’ - walked into Outhouse Studio, the well-known recording studio run by producer and musician extraordinaire John Mitchell, for the recording. John was so impressed with what he heard that he suggested to Chris Hillman, John’s partner in the White Star Records label, that they should release the album. Chris was as impressed as John was and so the band were signed to the label.
The album was very well received with the video of the first single from the album, ‘Planeta’, gaining a nomination at the prestigious Progressive Music Awards even before the album had been released. The band went on to receive another nomination the following year in the best new artist’s category. The album has gained the band a worldwide reputation, followed by glowing reviews and radio plays.
The band has since released its much-anticipated follow up album ‘Silence from Signals’ which - like their debut - has received outstanding reviews and is not to be missed!
The forthcoming new album is now being recorded and more info about it will come soon...
