ORIGINS: Neon Ecstatic Dance

Join us for the launch of ORIGINS, a new conscious, sober ecstatic dance party hosted by Release London. To celebrate the big occasion, we're throwing an electrifying Neon Night filled with music, movement, and connection in our beautiful church in Highgate.

Before diving into an immersive, soul-stirring dance, take a moment to connect with your playful side. At our body paint station, neon paints and body stickers are yours to experiment and adorn yourself with, guided by the renowned, super talent of body paint artist Mika (@mastayo_unleashed), who will be on hand to help you create meaningful, personal designs. Mika will also be available during the dance to apply stunning, professional neon face art, to anyone who wants it on a donation basis. She can do incredible designs in less than 5 minutes!

Once lit up, expect two exquisitely curated DJ sets from resident DJ, DJ Ember and guest DJ Kinbana, designed to guide you on an inward journey of self-connection, liberation, and boundless freedom of expression. Expect the most captivating Amapiano, Afrobeats, Tribal Beats, World Music, Dub, Electro, and Ambient sounds elevated by the energy of pulsating live drumming.

As our dance gently winds down, we'll transition into a soothing sound bath, where the resonant tones of mystical gongs, ethereal vibrations of alchemy crystal bowls, soothing percussion, and heart-opening chimes will bring us into a state of deep peace and reflection. A beautiful way to close our movement journey.
We’ll end the night with a sharing circle for anyone who feels inspired to reflect on their experience. Afterward, enjoy a selection of fruit, chocolate, and teas while taking time to mingle, connect, and deepen the bonds within our community.

The Rhythm

7:15 pm - Doors open. Head straight to the neon body art station to get your glow on, then warm up to some carefully curated tunes to set the mood and prepare your body for the dance.

8:00 pm - Ecstatic Dance Journey

9:45 pm - Sound Bath, Closing Circle & Optional Fruit Social

The Guidelines

Please arrive on time - no entry after 7:45 pm to allow us to all journey together.

No footwear unless absolutely necessary.

No alcohol or drugs allowed.

No phones on the dance floor, and please switch them to silent.

No chatting on the dance floor—this is a space to get out of your mind and into your body.

Bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated.

Dress in whatever way helps you express yourself, but ensure your clothes are comfortable and easy to move in.

Respect others' personal space.

Over 18s only.

Please note: In the age of social media, there will be filming and photography to capture the essence and magic of this conscious, sober experience. The footage will help inspire future audiences and spread the word about our dance community.

We recommend purchasing a ticket online (it's cheaper and you won't miss out) but a few tickets will be available on the door for £17.
