Origami Angel is an American emo and pop-punk duo from Washington, D.C., consisting of vocalist/guitarist Ryland Heagy and drummer Pat Doherty. Formed in 2017, the band quickly gained a cult following with their energetic fusion of twinkly Midwest emo, pop-punk, and metal influences. Known for their catchy melodies, heartfelt lyrics, and playful references to video games and internet culture, Origami Angel broke out with their 2019 debut album Somewhere City. They continued to evolve their sound with the expansive GAMI GANG (2021) and The Brightest Days (2023), solidifying their place as one of the most exciting bands in modern emo.
