We are thrilled to invite award-winning dancer, choreographer, and globally recognized instructor Leolani Gallardo, Director of TE AHO NUI, back to the valley for our 4th annual 'Ori Tahiti Workshop SATURDAY, MAY 2! We will be hosting 3 separate 90 minute workshops throughout the day.
CLASS SCHEDULE:
1οΈβ£ 'Ori Basics: Combos & Technique - 12:30 - 2:00 pm
Practice 'ori Tahiti basics and improve technique through combos, drills and training - something dancers of ALL levels can benefit from. Whether you are still new to 'ori Tahiti or prepping for competition, this class is for you!
2οΈβ£ 'Εte'a Choreography - 2:15 - 3:45 pm
Learn a fun new ote'a routine where you will have the chance to apply what you practiced during the 'Ori Basics class. This fast-paced Tahitian style is danced to lively, hip-shaking drum beats. Always fun! All levels are welcome! Recommended to take the 'Ori Basics workshop if you are very new to or have no 'ori Tahiti experience.
3οΈβ£ 'Aparima Choreography - 4:00 - 5:30 pm
Learn the beautiful, slower Tahitian style and technique with a new choreographed routine. This is the story-telling dance of Tahiti, using hands and graceful movements to illustrate lyrics or the tumu parau (theme). All levels are welcome and encouraged!
