Please join us for our next FREE Community Concert at Calvary as we welcome Organist Jacob Friedman on the Calvary Skinner Organ performing classic and original solo works, a choral work featuring the St. James’ Episcopal Church Choir, as well as congregational singing.

MORE ABOUT THIS WONDERFUL ARTIST:
Jacob Friedman is an organist, choir director, and composer serving at Saint James’ Episcopal Church in Goshen, New York, and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Florida, New York. His work
has been published in The American Organist and The Diapason. He regularly composes and performs new works of sacred music with the choir of Saint James’ Church in Goshen. He also teaches multiple instruments and has led workshops in songwriting and music production at the New York School of Music in Walden, Orange County.
Recognized by the American Protégé International Music Competition for excellence in teaching, Friedman works across classical, film, world, jazz, and pop genres. Known for his improvisational skill and stylistic versatility, he has collaborated with orchestras, jazz bands, and world music ensembles, and has composed music for films in the Monarex Hollywood documentary series.
Friedman earned a Master of Music in Composition and Film Scoring from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Religion from Columbia University. Raised in New York City,
he has performed his music at the Greenwich Arts Council, Richardson Auditorium at Princeton University, the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., and Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Noted sitarist Pradeep Ratnayake has described his music as going “right to the heart.”
