"Squashin' It w/ Sean Pessarra of MIndful Farmer"5-7pm: IN-PERSON & LIVESTREAM
Join Sean on Thursday June 24th as he discusses growing summer and winter squash. Topics will include: planting techniques, fertilizers, W**d and pest control, harvesting and storage, and crop rotation.
Sean Pessarra, owner of Mindful Farmer, has managed an organic vegetable farm for 5 years and currently runs his own small urban flower farm. Mindful Farmer manufactures greenhouses, high tunnels, and mobile chicken coops across Arkansas.

The goal for the Organic Urban Farming 101 workshop is to educate and assist growers in real time (proper season for the information) in order to have a successful farm or garden. The workshop will be offered all year (2021) every other Thursday from 5-7pm. The workshop will be facilitated by Zack McCannon (Faulkner County Library Garden Programmer and co-owner of Bell Urban Farm), Erika Lunde (Conway Library Staff w/ a Bachelors in Fisheries and Wildlife), and additional guest speakers knowledgable in the field of study.
