About this Event
Hailed as a “fast-rising NY band” by Live For Live Music, and a group that's “making waves in the scene" by JamBase, Organ Fairchild craft their organ-trio-meets-rock-band sound — described as “adventurous, vital and alive” by Glide Magazine — by synthesizing influences ranging from The Grateful Dead and The Allman Brothers to The Meters, Steely Dan and Medeski Martin & Wood. And when they're on stage completely captivating an audience without a bass player - and nobody singing - there is no confusing them for any other artist on today's scene.
As Atlanta’s FunkCity writes, “Get ready to be bowled over by this terrific trio - old school funk fusion with new era notions of jam.”
Voted NY's top emerging band in 2021, Organ Fairchild have gone on to:
✅ Become official artists on the nugs platform
✅ Chart #1 on last summer’s Relix/Jambands.com National Radio Charts (Phish was #4!)
✅ Record with Jorma Kaukonen
✅ Sirius XM Grateful Dead Channel interview and airplay
✅ Maggie Rose, Andy Frasco and Tedeschi Trucks Band members sit-ins
✅ Handpicked by Spotify for their "Instrumental Funk" playlist
✅ Four-set appearance at the final Summer Camp Music Festival in IL (15,000+ attendance)
"Blazed their way through their propulsive compositions and an excellent Grateful Dead cover" - JamBase
Encapsulating influences stretching across decades from psychedelic and jam-focused rock, to funk, post-punk, and even modern indie and post-rock, the Albany, New York collective Glass Pony offer a sound that truly translates through generations, with a stylistic blend built to engage a broad listenership. With a focus squarely set on delivering the most captivating live performance possible, the band utilizes infectiously danceable grooves colored with virtuosic individual performances that deftly blend into a cohesive whole. To accentuate their creative songwriting, they place a great value on improvisation and fluid set lists that change from show to show. The band is comprised of Chanda Dewey (drums), Eddie Hotaling (guitar, lead vocals), Jeff Picarazzi (bass), and Greg Pittz (lead guitar). If you’re seeking an experience that dives much deeper than the usual rigidly-arranged performance, hop on and enjoy the ride.
