Music at Grace Church in Newark welcomes Michael DiLeo Jr in concert.
“Michael A. DiLeo Jr. is a New York based classical organist, pianist improvisor, conductor, and baritone. Michael currently serves as Director of Music at St. Theresa of the Infant Jesus Church in Briarcliff Manor, NY. He previously served as Director of Music at Grace Episcopal Church in White Plains NY from 2022-2024. He currently holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Manhattanville University where he has studied piano, organ, and voice. During his Undergraduate studies, he was the organist for weddings and masses at Manhattanville University, and now continues to work as a contractor based organist for weddings and other campus related events. As an active performer and music educator, Michael has received a number of performance prizes and scholarships throughout High School and College, which include an award for Outstanding Musicianship, The Catherine A. Carroll Scholarship in Music Theory, The Michael Lewis Fallacaro Performance Scholarship, and most recently, the Leon Kushner Piano Prize. Michael has an extensive repertoire of organ concerts from classical to sacred music and has performed at many churches and venues around the region. Mr. DiLeo holds a professional certificate from the American Guild of Organists for service playing.
Mr. DiLeo will also be playing for our 10:30 mass as our guest assistant organist as our concludes their time for the season.
Free and open to the public. A reception will follow afterwards in the Narthex on the sanctuary.
