Calling all middle and high school social science teachers! Join Columbia River Maritime Museum (CRMM), Clatsop County Historical Society (CCHS), and OHS to learn how these organizations can support you and your students with classroom-ready research tools. The program begins with a crash-course on Oregon History Day led by OHS staff. Part of the National History Day® program, Oregon History Day is a project-based research curriculum for middle and high school students. Attendees will then take part in two session rotations where they will engage with research resources available through CRMM and CCHS.
This free half-day workshop will be held in person in Astoria, Oregon, and is open to educators only. Coffee, refreshments, and lunch will be provided. An optional stipend is also available for attendees. Please bring your own laptop to use during rotations.
An optional stipend is also available for attendees. OHS is offering up to 15 reimbursements for substitutes to rural school districts for educators attending.
