See the orchid exhibit before it closes! There will be dozens of species of orchids, which can make for fascinating compare-and-contrast style journaling. (Questions and observations are easily heightened when looking at varieties!) Or if orchids don't catch your eye, journal about anything in the tropical dome! I'll go over a few useful nature journaling tips at the start. *This costs $8 at Olbrich-please do not hesitate to contact me to get in for free!*

WHAT IS NATURE JOURNALING?
Nature journaling is more than drawing or painting pictures--we also write questions and notes in our sketchbooks to wonder more deeply about nature. We’ll talk briefly about ideas of what to write, such as the writing prompts "I notice... I wonder... It reminds me of..." You'll also get some nature journaling tips about ways you could document things that you may see at the event location.
