Orchid Club May meeting (FREE)

Jose Exposito, owner of Soroa Orchids in Homestead and a senior judge with the American Orchid Society, will discuss “Growing Orchids in South Florida: A Survival Guide” at Gulf Coast Orchid Alliance’s monthly meeting from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 21 at the Naples Conference Center, 1455 Pine Ridge Road. Exposito will have tips for beginners to experienced orchid growers, and he will have orchids for sale.

This free event is open to the public and will include light refreshments and approximately 100 blooming plants brought by club members for judging. For more information, visit GulfCoastOrchids.org or text 239-269-6389.

Exposito is past president of the Coalition for Orchid Species, and vice president of the Redland Orchid Growers, the hosts and organizers of the largest international orchid festival that takes place annually in the United States. He lectures on orchid growing and hybridizing all over the world, including previously at the World Orchid Conferences in Rio de Janeiro and Kuala Lumpur.
