Orchid Care 101: From Novice to Expert

August, 24, 2024

11:00 am-12:00pm

Instructor: Tania Harmon

Do you enjoy adding Orchids to the array of plants in your home or garden but are unsure of what to do once the blooms have faded? This class will teach you how to remove plants from old containers and repot your Orchid to stimulate new growth and flowering.

Ann Marie Palmer has been exploring the world of watercolor since 2019, through local classes and private instruction. Her passion for painting botanicals and florals keeps her exploring Leu Gardens and other hidden gems in Orlando. Ann Marie worked and taught in higher education from 2007 through 2021 and is a member of the Central Florida Watercolor Society.

Tania Harmon is a 9-year veteran Master Gardener with the Orange County Extension Center. An Orchid enthusiast long before becoming a Master Gardener, she attended many demonstrations and classes on how to grow Orchids. Through trial and error, she has created a plan to assist the Orchid plant to successfully continue to grow and flower. Tania enjoys sharing her knowledge on the growing cycle of the Orchid.

Participants must withdraw from classes at least five days prior to the start of class in order to receive a full refund or credit. If we must cancel a class, we will make every effort to inform you prior to the class time, and you will receive a full refund or credit.
