Let's Hike TO is thrilled to be partnering with Rouge National Urban Park and Parkbus to offer hikers a unique experience of hiking and camping workshop!

Rouge Urban National Park is home to over 1,700 species of plants and animals, including white tailed deer, swans, woodchucks, golden eagles, river otters and red foxes.

The meeting point will be 34 Asquith Ave at 9:45AM. A shuttle bus is being provided by Parkbus to take you to Zoo Road Welcome Area of Rouge National Urban Park. You will be dropped off back at Asquith Avenue at around 4:00 PM.

For those that prefer not to trek into the downtown pickup location, you can meet us at the Zoo Road Welcome Area. The bus will arrive between 10:30AM - 10:45AM (depending on traffic) so please make sure to arrive on time for the hike to start right away.

We will start by hiking (90min) through a small part of Orchard Trail, a classic Rouge Valley hike, featuring young forests mixed with wetlands and traces of early European settlement, including remnant orchards, residences and an old mill.

We will then have lunch (45min) in the woods right before returning to Zoo Road Welcome Area.

After that, it will be time for a camping workshop (90min) with Rouge National Urban Park's Learn-to Camp Coordinator! The workshop is a prepared interactive presentation to help you acquire basic camping skills and learn more about our local Rouge National Urban Park. This workshop will be hosted indoors (in a private room) or outdoors (with a rain plan).

Let's Hike T.O. is a hiking community open to everyone with a focus on newcomers, people of colour, and young adults aged 20-40. All are welcome on our walks.
