Join the American Indian Student Association at Washington University in St. Louis on Friday, September 30th as we celebrate and honor the survivors and lost relatives of residential schools.
Residential schools have a long-standing history of impacting Indigenous communities in the United States and Canada. Residential schools were utilized by governments to assimilate Indigenous children into the mainstream culture. By hosting this event, we hope to spread community awareness of the impact of the residential schools and honor those families who have been impacted.
Please wear orange to this event. We will have refreshments. Masks are encouraged. We hope to see you then!
