Richtersveld / Orange River Wild Ride. (August 7-10)
August is the start of the Namaqualand flower season and best time to ride the rugged desert tracks of the Northern Cape. (+ take advantage of the Aug 10 national Women’s Day public holiday )
Cool days, firm sand and little chance of rain.
- We meet at Okiep (7 km beyond Springbok on the N7)
- 4 days riding returning to Okiep at lunch on the 4th day (allows plenty of time to return to Cape Town) + travel to Okiep (6 hours from Cape Town)
- Okiep - Pofadder/Pella - Vioolsdrift - Port Nolloth - Okiep
4 lodge / hotel nights (B&B)
Support van carries all the gear
Routes designed around 500 / 350 / 690 /701 type bikes and strictly not novice friendly.
Expect plenty of sandy twee spoor, rocky 4x4 tracks and epic scenery.
