About this Event
The U.K population is getting larger, living longer, and retaining more teeth. Therefore, Dental clinicians increasingly need to recognise and understand the range of medical conditions and pharmacological treatments which their clients may present to them.
The need to be able to risk assess the impact of these events on predictable clinical outcomes has become increasingly important since the Montgomery Ruling in late 2015.
This one-day in depth teaching session will look at exploring conditions and drugs likely to present in the dental surgery.
We will also explore the underlying methodological evidence based sciences of each.
We will then look to assess the impact of these conditions and drugs on treatment provided and this will be followed by the impact of any treatments provided on the medical conditions the prescribed drugs.
Finally, a discussion to ensure all clinicians are aware of how to treat conditions if they become an emergency.
