Mikey Murry, also known as Mikey Cody Apollo, is a Black queer filmmaker, writer, performing artist, and facilitator hailing from the vibrant city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is the author of "Black Girls, Silence, and Other Things Made of Gold" and "Opposite of a Suicide Note." Beyond her literary achievements, Mikey is a devoted cat mama, a fearless PMDD Warrior, and an outspoken advocate for sex-positive feminism. Looking to the future, Mikey dreams of making history as the first Black woman to receive the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. With their unwavering dedication to authentic representation and social justice, Mikey is poised to redefine the landscape of cinema, poetry, and storytelling for generations to come.
Haley Alexis King (also known by her pen name of h. king) is a poet, writer, lover of God, and the mother to a curious and brave son named Sol. In 2020, Haley self-published her first book titled “Self.” As of 2024, her talents have moved from the page to the screen as she starred in her debut role in the short film, “The Last Week,” written & directed by Emmy-award winning filmmaker, Santana Coleman. Haley hopes to use her art to facilitate opportunities of community healing and empowerment. On a personal tip, she hopes to be everything God intended her to be, and to guide and support Sol in his journey of this thing we call life.
A Los Angeles native, a poet, and a filmmaker, Jamai Fisher seeks to walk in God's purpose by making hard conversations easy through storytelling.
