Join us for an immersive model car show experience like you've never seen before. Building on the success of our first show, we are taking the 2025 Mile High Open to a fantastic new venue, but keeping the mission the same: a model car show that feels more like a party celebrating the talent and passion of our model car community.
Instead of some boring meeting space, this show will take place in the heart of the museum, surrounded by The Forney's collection of beautiful, historically significant vehicles. Your models will be on display amidst this inspiring environment.
You'll also be able to shop from numerous vendor tables at the swap meet, learn some new tips and tricks in our modeling seminars, and enjoy delicious food from food trucks right on site. Feeling lucky? Grab some raffle tickets and see what you can win!
Best of all, the event is family friendly. Bring the kids for kids activities like a make and take table and scavenger hunt.
This year we will hand out 25 awards, including Masters Awards, and an award for best theme build. This year's theme is "75 Years of the Volkswagen Bus"
One entry fee gets you into the museum and unlimited model entries, and the museum has generously offered to do a reduced entry fee for non-entrant visitors. Registration runs from 10 AM to Noon and the awards ceremony begins at 2:30 PM.
