About this Event
Operation Turkey brings together volunteers and communities across the country to ensure those in need receive a warm meal on Thanksgiving Day. This year, we’ll prepare, package, and deliver 5,000 meals throughout the Dallas area — and we can’t do it without our incredible volunteers!
Join us for the Turkey Tailgate, held in the days leading up to Thanksgiving, where we will prepare food, shred turkeys, gather supplies, and begin staging our event site.
We have a volunteer opportunity for anyone who wants to help us with this rewarding and fun event!
The event is indoors, so dress comfortably and choose clothes you don’t mind getting a little turkey or corn juice on. Tie long hair back, wear a ball cap if desired, and closed-toe, rubber-soled shoes are recommended for safety and comfort.
