Instead of the usual recovery ride we will support the Operation Smiles charity ride which takes place at Hudayriat.
The charity social event starts at the Service Course Hudayriat at 6.45am and will be 40km of loops around the track.
As a Raha group we do not need to formally enter the event but instead we can participate as group and donate to the charity separately.
Helen will collect AED 25 (or more) from everyone before the ride starts and give to the charity. As we aren’t officially entering, we shouldn’t take finishers medals unless they have spares at the end. It is preferable for riders to wear Raha kit if they have it.
There will be two options to join the ride:
- 6am start from the Officers Club / Erth to head down the cycle path to Hudayriat. After the ride we will come back to Erth for breakfast (AED 75).
- Alternatively those who want to meet us Hudayriat instead should aim to be there around 6.30am so we have time to collect money before the event starts.
This will be the third year Raha have supported this event so it would be great to have a big group. The ride is social, all are welcome.
