My partner, Alex, and I are launching a monthly supper club called Opera Up Close.Our first public offering is Saturday, June 20, to celebrate PRIDE!
Opera Up Close combines beautiful music, incredible food, and community in Chicago’s most intimate performance venue and dinner theatre: our apartment!
The evening will consist of a welcome cocktail hour with appetizers, during which I will sing a handful of arias (accompanied by pianist, Paul Hamilton) about identity, pride, and finding ourselves. Following that is a three-course dinner in our dining room with a menu featuring the gayest meal of all: Brunch for Dinner! Then back to the living room for dessert and coffee and some iconic torch songs.
I have been a professional opera singer for 40 years and Alex is a highly skilled chef and content creator. We are thrilled to combine our talents in what is guaranteed to be an unforgettable evening.
