Opera in Conversation is a series of three sessions surrounding Opera Omaha mainstage productions that features creatives, scholars, and other public figures.
These FREE events exist to foster cross-disciplinary exploration of art, big questions, and community connections.
Join Opera Omaha on Tuesday, October 8 at the Joslyn Castle Carriage House for our next Don Giovanni Opera in Conversation.
The second Opera in Conversation will features film expert, Paul Sanchez, as he opens up a conversation about the elements that set noir a part and how that can be reflected in the world of Don Giovanni.
Admission is FREE, advance registration is requested.
Paul Sanchez (he/they) is a film programmer and arts educator living in Omaha, NE. Sanchez is currently serving as Film Streams’ Education Manager where he designs, manages, and facilitates various education programs to teach people of all ages about film, art, and culture. Sanchez completed a bachelor’s degree in religious studies from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a special focus on Hinduism, Buddhism, and religion in film. Sanchez deeply values approachable learning spaces that invite all people to share their authentic opinions, questions, and experiences in community driven discussions. Sanchez considers his role as a facilitator a small piece of an overall learning community. Sanchez’s favorite film is JAWBREAKER (1999) dir. Darren Stein.
