The Schwob School of Music is proud to present two thrilling operas in collaboration with the Springer Opera House!The 2025 Schwob Opera Theater spring season will be a lyric drama double bill, Suor Angelica by Giacomo Puccini and The Medium by Gian Carlo Menotti, performed in collaboration with the Schwob Opera Orchestra led by Professor Paul Hostetter. This exciting collaboration features a first by presenting our mainstage opera production at the Springer Opera House, Columbus’s local Georgia historic state theater!
Our student performers will work alongside a professional team of artists to bring these operas to life. Performances will include a pre-concert talk presented by Schwob professor Dr. Reba Wissner for audience members to learn more about the history behind these incredible works.
