Opening | Women in Focus | Desire Paths :Exploring Chicago's Angled Streets

Women in Focus, an artist-initiated organization of women photographers who have joined together to support and promote the photographic arts presents "Chicago's Desire Paths - Exploring Chicago's Angled Streets".

Believe it or not, Chicago's angled streets were once trails that were used for hundreds, if not thousands of years to get from one place to another.

A Desire Path (trail) is a natural path that is formed in the earth from constantly walking it over years.

Women in Focus explores these unique-Chicago streets with candid photographs from varying artistic perspectives.

CTA #77 Belmont Bus (Ashland Ave. Stop) is a few hundred YARDS to our FRONT DOOR. About a 3 to 4 minute walk.

We are on the south side of the street, directly ACROSS THE STREET from The Art of Pizza!! Voted Best DEEP DISH in Chicago!

CTA #9 Ashland Bus (Wellington Ave. Stop) is even closer, about a 1 or 2 minute walk to our FRONT DOOR.

CTA Brown Line "Paulina" Station is 0.5 mi. to our front door at Roscoe St. & Paulina Ave. (10 to 15 minute walk)

CTA Brown/Purple/Red Line "Belmont" Station is at 945 W. Belmont. Take the #77 Belmont Bust WEST to Ashland Ave., and walk south about 1,000 feet (just past Barry Ave.) to our FRONT DOOR.
