Opening Season 2 2026 – Mezze, Strange Sensation and Held: On Care and Collections

Please join us for the launch of three compelling exhibitions at Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery that examine identity, perception and connection.

MEZZE
Featuring lavish table settings and a monumental print installation, Deanna Hitti's solo exhibition explores how language and culinary traditions shape what it means to be Australian.
STRANGE SENSATION
Drawing on notions of the uncanny, this exhibition brings together contemporary artists from the UWA Art Collection whose work blurs thresholds of perception and memory, disturbing our sense of the familiar.
HELD: ON CARE AND COLLECTIONS
Artist Michele Elliot responds to works in the Cruthers Collection of Women's Art, guided by her ethics of care and ideas around social responsibility and connection.
