Opening of the Dr. Eartha M. M. White Activism Exhibit & Presentation

Join us for the opening of the Dr. Eartha M. M. White Activism Exhibit, a special gallery showcase celebrating the life, legacy, and impact of one of Jacksonville’s most revered figures in social justice and environmental activism. A special presentation will also be made by the Center of Environmental Equity and Justice, entitled Food as the Foundation for Healthy and Sustainable Community. 

This event is part of a broader 2-day nonpartisan initiative aimed at promoting environmental advocacy through civic engagement, emphasizing the vital role of voting in local, state, and federal elections.

About the Exhibit:

Dr. Eartha M. M. White was a trailblazer in the fight for social justice and environmental stewardship. This exhibit will take you on a journey through her incredible contributions to the community, highlighting her relentless dedication to improving the lives of others and her deep commitment to the environment.

Reception:

Following the exhibit, attendees are invited to a catered reception featuring culinary delights from the Clara White Mission Culinary Arts Training Program. This will be a unique opportunity to connect with fellow community leaders, supporters, and advocates dedicated to continuing Dr. White’s legacy.

This event is free, but due to limited capacity, all attendees must register in advance.
