About this Event
Join us for the Opening Night of I Too, Am America, a powerful multimedia art exhibit combining poetry and mixed-media collage to explore the strength, creativity, and resilience of Black youth in America.
Inspired by Langston Hughes’ iconic poem I, Too, this exhibit amplifies the voices of Black children and invites audiences into a space of visibility, dignity, and belonging. Through bold visual work by A. Drew Hammond and stirring poetry by A. E. Wynter, I Too, Am America insists on what has always been true: Black children are central to the American story.
